|Went on SMOOTH, GLOSSY and sexy! Helloo, Summer!,
I just got my first gel polish manicure last week, but the technician did an awful job. That awful job was $35 and lasted pretty well considering I USE my hands daily at work. I open drug bottles, peal the seals off and pull out the cotton… I fold and stick prescription labels on for 10 hours per day. If this lousy gel manicure can last through all this, I nice job should be outstanding. Just to prove it true…
So I thought for sure I can do a better job myself, at home. I researched and bought all the necessities on Amazon (love me some Amazon!) delivered to my doorstep in a few days! I bought the soak off cleanser to remove the last job, the base coat, 2 polishes [[ASIN:B003VMU63K Harmony Gelish Uv Soak Off Gel Polish -Gossip Girl (0.5 Oz)] andand the top coat add a 36W UV nail dryer for under $150 and I’m set. I already had the other essentials: 99% alcohol and 100% acetone, cotton balls, foil, emery board, cuticle remover, pusher and nippers. take a look! my novice results are not too shabby at all. I was a little scared at first – my nails were tacky after drying in the UV oven… like they weren’t curing. Duh, it’s just residue. Dab some 99% alcohol on a cotton ball and wipe my paws, et Voila!
Definitely a do-it-yourselfers dream. I’ll report back on the durability of these new nails ;0) true testing starts Wednesday. It already survived dishes and baking today. real work test starts Wednesday night.]

I’ve been doing my own nails with Gelish polish and I LOVE it. It stays for a couple of weeks even after thoroughly abusing my nails. My normally peeling nails are in great condition after using this system.
This color is a really, really bright pink. Nothing subtle about it. It will be perfect for summertime. I also have Samuri which is a sheerish, glittery purple. I sometimes put a couple of coats of that over Gossip Girl and it makes a really great color.
